Our story
Arush Labs was founded by five students from Kanpur — Arush Kumar, Ayushi Shukla, Adeel Ahmad, Aniket Gautam
and Abhay Shukla — who kept ending up in the same conversations about AI, software and what they wanted to
build, until they stopped treating it as a side project and started building it for real.
None of us started as a "startup team" in the traditional sense. We started as students who were already
writing code, competing at hackathons like HackIITK, contributing to open source, and building things on the
side — and realised the fastest way to get better was to build something real, together, for actual
businesses that needed it.
That's still how we operate. Arush Labs is being built in public, with an MVP launch target of
20 August 2026 — every product, every decision, every mistake, out in the open.
What we believe
Most "AI-powered" software on the market today is a thin layer of AI bolted onto a product that doesn't
need it. We think that's backwards. We build AI-native from the ground up — meaning the AI isn't a feature,
it's part of how the product reasons, decides and acts.
We also believe founders and small teams deserve access to the same quality of engineering that used to be
reserved for companies with big budgets and big teams. That's the entire reason Arush Labs exists — five
people who can move like a much bigger team, because AI is doing the heavy lifting alongside us.
